MAHILA POOJA AT SIVAM ON 7-3-2023 

On March 7th, 2023, the Koti Samithi Mahilas were blessed with the opportunity to perform pooja at Sivam, with the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sri Sri Sathya Sai Baba. This pooja was the 7th and 22nd allotted to the Koti Samithi.

The pooja was performed by Smt Bhuvaneswari and her team, who conducted a Shodashopachara Pooja to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba Varu. The team members offered Maha Nyvedhyam and Maha Mangalahaarathi to the revered Lord.

The pooja was performed with great devotion and reverence, with all the members of the team being completely involved in the process. The atmosphere was filled with positive energy, and the members were immersed in the divine presence of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

The Shodashopachara Pooja is a comprehensive ritual that involves 16 steps of worship. The steps include offering various items such as flowers, incense, and fruits to the deity. The Maha Nyvedhyam and Maha Mangalahaarathi were offered to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba as a sign of respect and gratitude.

The Koti Samithi Mahilas were honored to have been given this opportunity to perform the pooja, and they felt blessed to be in the presence of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The event was a beautiful and meaningful experience, and it left a lasting impression on the members of the team.

The Sri Sathya Sai Bhajana Hall in Gowliguda, Hyderabad, held its weekly Thursday Bhajan on 23rd February 2023. The event began at 7 pm and lasted for 55 minutes, with a large number of devotees in attendance.

The Bhajan started with the chanting of Sri Rudram, which was followed by soulful renditions of various devotional songs. The talented singers, including Sri Sai Dass, Sahu, Sri N Srirammurthy, Nageswara Rao, Sri Prabhakar, Smt Kalpana, Smt Vijaya Lakshmi, Smt Renuka, Mrs Prabhakar, Smt Pooja, Smt Jyothi, and P V Sastry, led the Bhajans and created a serene atmosphere filled with devotion and spiritual energy.

During the event, all the devotees were given Vibhuti Prasadam, which is considered to be a sacred offering and is believed to have healing properties. The program concluded with Sri Sahu offering Haarathi to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba Varu, which was followed by a sense of joy and fulfillment among the devotees.

The weekly Thursday Bhajan at Sri Sathya Sai Bhajana Hall is a significant spiritual event that brings together devotees from different walks of life to experience the divine energy and seek blessings from the almighty. The event is a testament to the power of faith, devotion, and community in enriching our lives and connecting us to the divine.

Bheema Ratha Shanti refers to a sacred Hindu ritual performed to celebrate the 70th birthday of an individual. The ritual is believed to bestow good health, prosperity, and long life upon the person for whom it is performed.

The Bheema Ratha Shanti ceremony is named after the Mahabharata character Bhima, who is said to have performed this ritual to ensure a long life for himself and his brothers. The ceremony involves the performance of various rituals and homas (fire offerings) over a period of three days.

On the first day of the ceremony, the Ganapathi homam is performed, followed by the Navagraha homam and the Dhanvantari homam. On the second day, the Maha Rudra homam is performed, and on the third day, the Chandi homam and the Poornahuti homam are performed.

The Bheema Ratha Shanti ceremony is usually performed by the family members of the person celebrating their 70th birthday, and it is attended by their friends and relatives. The ceremony is considered to be a significant milestone in the life of an individual, and it is believed to bring them blessings and good fortune.
