Sacred Event Celebrates the Divine
Union: Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam
Hyderabad, 19-8-2023 — An enchanting spiritual event, the Sri Sita
Rama Kalyanam, unfolded with fervor and devotion, leaving an indelible mark on
the hearts of the attendees. The event, a collaborative effort between
Bhadrachala Devastanam and Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Hyderabad, was a
celebration of the divine marriage between Lord Rama and Mother Sita.
The festivities commenced with the soul-stirring notes of
traditional Sannai melam, evoking an atmosphere of auspiciousness and
jubilation. The air resonated with the recitation of Vedas by the Sivam Vedam
Group, invoking ancient spiritual vibrations that hold immense significance in
Hindu traditions. This was followed by the melodious renditions of bhajans by
the Sivam Bhajan Group, expressing profound devotion and praise for Lord Rama.
The event took an even more enchanting turn with the
presentation of Ramadasu kirtanas by the Bhadrachala Devastana Pandits and the
Sivam Bhajan Group. These devotional songs composed by Bhakta Ramadasu added a
layer of spiritual transcendence to the event.
A unique highlight was the meticulous preparation of the
idols of Lord Rama and Mother Sita for the celestial wedding. Pandits
elaborated on the significance and intricacies of the Sita Rama Tirukalyanam,
offering devotees an insightful understanding of the divine ritual.
The Bhakta Ramadasu's ornaments, symbolizing devotion and
reverence, were a key feature of the ceremony. The Mahila Vibhag's
contributions, including traditional offerings such as Thalambralu, pearls,
silk clothes, and a variety of fruits and sweets, added to the traditional
charm of the occasion.
The event not only showcased spiritual rituals but also
emphasized understanding. Pandits provided a detailed explanation of each step
of the wedding process, enriching the spiritual experience for devotees. The
Maala Maarpidi, or the garland exchange, was a lively and vibrant addition to
the event.
Sacred water blessings and the active involvement of Sevadal
members from the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations further enhanced the event's
sanctity and smooth execution. From maintaining auditorium discipline and
Talambralu distribution to orderly darshan and prasadam distribution, the
Sevadal's efforts ensured a seamless experience for all attendees.
The Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam event was graced by the presence
of numerous devotees from different samithis, along with special invitees from
the district team, central trust office, and government officials linked to the
endowment.
The confluence of devotional elements, traditional practices,
and spiritual significance made the Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam a truly remarkable
event. The collaboration between Bhadrachala Devastanam and Sri Sathya Sai Seva
Organisations showcased the spiritual and cultural heritage associated with
Lord Rama and his divine marriage with Mother Sita, leaving a lasting
impression of devotion and unity.
